Fences we take out

A fence that leans, rots at the base or loses panels in a storm usually needs to come out before a new one goes in. Rapid Haul does the coming-out part. The crew takes the fence down, pulls the posts, and hauls every piece away, so your installer arrives to an open line or you get the yard back.

Materials and parts we remove:

  • Wood privacy and picket fences, panels and rails
  • Chain-link fabric, top rail and line posts
  • Vinyl and PVC panels
  • Aluminum and metal picket sections
  • Gates and gate hardware
  • Posts, including the concrete footing around them where it comes up with the post

Removal only, never installation

Rapid Haul does not build, repair or install fences. If you are replacing one, you hire the fence installer, and Dany's crew clears the old one before they arrive. A lot of homeowners like splitting it that way because the installer's quote often does not include hauling away the old fence, and the timing is easy to line up. Tell Dany when your installer is booked and the old fence can be gone the day before.

If your property is on a shared fence line, sort out with your neighbor who owns the fence before anyone takes it down. If your HOA has rules about fences, check them before the old one comes out, and if the fence is part of a pool barrier, plan with your installer so the pool is never left open. Any permit for the new fence is between you and your installer.

How a fence removal is priced

Every fence job gets one flat, all-in price after Dany sees a photo. It covers taking the fence down, pulling posts, loading, hauling and disposal. Send a photo of the full run, a close-up of a post at the ground, and a note on roughly how long the fence is.

Post footings are the biggest variable. Posts set in concrete come out heavy, with a chunk of concrete on the end, and those add weight and time compared with posts set in dirt. Long runs, tall privacy fences and chain-link with old vines grown through it all take longer. Fences along a canal, behind a pool or across a back lot with no gate access mean more carrying. Dany prices all of it before the crew comes out, and that number does not change on the day.

Jobs of $1,000 and over take a 50% deposit to hold the date, which mostly applies to long runs or fence work combined with other tear-out.

Fences in South Florida yards

Sun, rain and salt air are hard on fences here. Wood rots where it meets the ground, metal rusts at the joints, and a summer storm can lay a weak section flat. Many yards in Broward and Miami-Dade are tight, with the fence sitting right against landscaping, sprinkler lines, a pool screen or a neighbor's shed. The crew works panel by panel to avoid knocking into anything, and asks you to flag sprinkler heads or buried lines before posts are pulled.

Underground utility lines can run near a fence line. If you are unsure, ask your utility companies to mark them before the date, and the crew will steer clear of anything marked.

Pairing fence removal with other yard work

Fence jobs often come with other cleanup. Overgrown brush along the fence line, an old shed in the corner, or a rotted deck nearby can all be added to the same visit and the same flat price. Ezra V. said the crew left "the entire area clean and ready to use" after a demolition job, and that is the goal for a fence line too: open, raked and ready for whatever comes next.

What the yard looks like when we leave

The fence line is open and raked, with nails, screws, wire ties and broken pickets picked up. Post holes are left the way you asked, open for the installer's new posts or loosely filled so nobody twists an ankle. All the old material is off the property, so there is nothing waiting at the curb for bulk pickup.

How the job runs, step by step

  1. Old wood fence line before removal, with plants along its base

    Step 1

Mark the run and the hazards

The crew walks the fence line with you, marks what comes out, and checks for sprinkler heads, lines and plants to protect.

  2. Crew member taking down a fence panel

    Step 2

    Take down panels and rails

Gates come off first, then panels, fabric or pickets, then rails, stacked as they come down.

  3. Pulled fence posts with concrete footings stacked for loading

    Step 3

    Pull posts and load

Posts are pulled with their footings where they come up, then everything is loaded and hauled to disposal.

  4. Step 4

    Fill, rake and check

Post holes are left open or loosely filled as you prefer, and the line is raked for nails and screws.

Fence Removal: common questions

Something else on your mind? Call (754) 249-1015.

How much does fence removal cost?

It depends on length, material and how the posts are set. Text a photo to (754) 249-1015 and Dany will send one flat price that includes hauling.

Do you install the new fence?

No. Rapid Haul does fence removal only. Your installer puts in the new fence, and the crew can clear the old one right before they start.

Do you pull the posts set in concrete?

Yes, posts and their footings are pulled where they come up. Concrete-set posts add weight, which is factored into the flat price.

Can you remove a pool fence?

Talk to your installer and check your local pool barrier rules first, so the pool is not left open. Then the crew can clear the old one on the day the new one goes in.

How fast can you come out?

Short runs can sometimes be done the same day when you call early. Longer jobs get a set date. Dany answers himself, Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM.

When do I pay?

Dany confirms payment timing with your quote. Jobs of $1,000 and over take a 50% deposit to hold the date, with the balance due when the fence is gone.
