How the concrete calculator works
Area is length times width. Volume is area times thickness in feet (inches divided by 12), and cubic yards is cubic feet divided by 27. Weight uses 145 pounds per cubic foot, a typical figure for plain concrete, so a 4-inch, 200-square-foot patio weighs close to 5 tons.
Why weight matters for concrete removal
Concrete is one of the heaviest things a hauler moves, so the weight decides how many trips a job takes far more than the volume does. Rebar and wire mesh add weight and time to break out. For what driveway and slab jobs involve, read the driveway removal cost guide.
Getting a price
Rapid Haul prices concrete removal from a photo, as one flat number that covers labor, loading, hauling and disposal. Text Dany the measurements from the calculator with a photo of the slab and the access to it.
