Junk removal in Golden Beach, with the haul-away the Town won't do
Cleanouts, pool deck tear-outs and furniture removal in Golden Beach, hauled away in one visit. Text Dany a photo for one flat, all-in price.
01How Golden Beach handles bulk: by arrangement, by the yard
Golden Beach is not on Miami-Dade County's collection route. The Town's own Public Works Department collects solid waste, and a private contractor collects recycling. Garbage goes Monday and Thursday, trash Tuesday and Friday, recycling Wednesday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Anything too big for normal collection is picked up only after you make arrangements with Public Works at Town Hall (305.932.0744 ext. 235). The posted fees are $30 for 2 cubic yards or less and $60 for 2 to 4 cubic yards. Loads over 5 cubic yards are $7 per cubic yard plus the cost of dumping, and heavy loads may have dumping cost added. Payment is prepaid check only.
That works for a chair or two. For a full house, it means measuring, arranging and paying ahead. With Rapid Haul it is one photo, one flat price, and you pay after the job.
02Construction debris is yours to remove
The Town is direct about this. Any trash or rubbish generated by construction activity has to be hauled away by whoever generates it, the same way gardeners are responsible for their own garden trash. Public Works also will not pick up motor oil, paint, batteries, gas tanks or similar hazardous material. And no trash can go out after 2 p.m. on Fridays, or on weekends or holidays.
So a pool deck tear-out, a bathroom gut or a fence removal needs its own haul plan before the work starts. Rapid Haul tears out the non-structural part (pavers, tile, decking, fencing, fixtures) and takes every piece of it away the same visit. Pool Removal covers above-ground pools and pool decks only, never in-ground pool demolition, and gets a flat price after a photo. Deck Demolition starts at $550.

03Permits in Golden Beach, including oceanfront lots
Permits come from the Town of Golden Beach Building and Zoning Department at Town Hall, 100 Ocean Boulevard. Submittals go by email, and walk-in service is by appointment only. The Town publishes a Demolition Package with its permit forms, plus separate guidelines for oceanfront (Zone 1) properties and for construction seaward of the Coastal Construction Control Line.
Your GC or you as the owner pull the permit. Rapid Haul never pulls permits and never touches anything that holds up the house. If your lot is oceanfront, check the Zone 1 guidance before anything comes out near the dune line.
04A one-mile town of single-family homes
Golden Beach sits on the barrier island between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic, about one mile north to south and four blocks east to west. High-rise construction and commercial development are not permitted in town, and A1A is the only road in, with a police guardhouse at the entrance. The 2020 Census counted 961 residents. Owner-occupied rates and home values are not published for a town this small.
In practice that means single-family homes between the Intracoastal and the ocean, and jobs like pool decks, patios and estate furniture. When you text, tell Dany about the guardhouse and any access rules for your street.

Golden Beach: common questions
Something else on your mind? Call (754) 249-1015.
What does Golden Beach charge for bulk pickup?
The Town posts $30 for 2 cubic yards or less, $60 for 2 to 4 cubic yards, and $7 per cubic yard plus dumping for loads over 5 cubic yards, paid by prepaid check after you arrange it with Public Works.
Will the Town take my renovation debris?
No. The Town says trash generated by construction must be hauled away by whoever generates it. Rapid Haul does the non-structural tear-out and the haul together.
Can I put a pile out on Saturday?
No. The Town says no trash goes out after 2 p.m. on Fridays, or on weekends or holidays. Sanitation is also suspended under a hurricane warning, and bulk should not go out during a hurricane watch.
Where do paint and chemicals go?
The Town points residents to the Miami-Dade Home Chemical Collection Centers, 8801 NW 58th Street in Doral and 23707 SW 97th Avenue in Homestead, Wednesday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
