Interior demolition in Weston for kitchen and bath remodels
Non-structural tear-out in Weston homes: cabinets, counters, tile, tubs and flooring removed and hauled the same day. Room demo from $750, one flat price.
01Weston's bulk day will not take your old kitchen
Weston's bulk pickup comes four times a year, in January, April, July and October, on a set day for each section of the city. Republic Services runs it. The City's own page is clear about tear-out debris: bulk items do not include contractor-generated material.
That rules out the curb for most remodel waste. Cabinets, countertops, tile, drywall and the old vanity from a kitchen or bathroom tear-out are not bulk items in Weston, even if you time the job for a bulk month. Leaving them by the garbage cart only invites a notice.
Rapid Haul tears the room out and loads the debris straight onto the truck as it comes off the walls. Nothing waits in the driveway for a pickup that will not take it.
02Permits, the City's hauler, and what Dany checks first
Weston's Building Code Services Department issues building permits, does plan review and runs inspections under the Florida Building Code. It is at the Administrative Services Center, 17250 Royal Palm Boulevard, phone 954-385-0500, and applications go through the City's ePermits portal. The general contractor or the property owner pulls the permit for the remodel. Dany does not pull permits.
The City's fee schedule names Republic Services as its exclusive Solid Waste Contractor. If your remodel is permitted, ask your GC whether the permit or the City sets any rule about who hauls the debris. Dany will tell you what applies to your job before you book, and he will not take a load the rules send elsewhere.
Rapid Haul's part is non-structural: cabinets, fixtures, tile, flooring, drywall and partition walls your builder signs off on, never anything that holds up the house. Electric, water and gas in the rooms must be shut off and capped by your trades before the crew starts.

03Weston kitchens and baths from the first build-out
Weston is a master-planned city. Most of it was developed by Arvida as Indian Trace, and the first Arvida homes were finished in 1984 in Country Isles and Windmill Ranch. Bonaventure and Indian Trace are its two development districts. A house from that first wave is now more than forty years old, and if its kitchen or baths were never redone, they date from that build.
These are family homes. Census figures show an average of 3.16 people per household and a 73% owner-occupancy rate, so the remodel often happens while someone still lives in the house. The crew protects the hallway and floors that stay, keeps the work inside the rooms on the scope, and sweeps at the end of each day.
If your community has an association, get its rules on work hours, truck parking and contractor access before the date, and send them to Dany.
- Kitchens: cabinets, counters, backsplash, sinks and old appliances
- Bathrooms: tubs, shower surrounds, vanities, toilets and tile
- Flooring: tile, carpet, laminate and wood down to the slab
- Drywall and partition walls your builder clears
04What interior demolition costs in Weston
Room demo starts at $750. Dany gives one flat price before work starts, covering labor, tear-out, carrying, hauling and disposal. Send photos of every wall, the floor and the path out of the house.
Tile is the biggest factor. A bathroom tiled floor to ceiling on a mortar bed is far heavier than one with a fiberglass surround, and two layers of floor tile doubles the weight. A full kitchen or a whole-house flooring tear-out usually lands at $1,000 or more, and those jobs take a 50% deposit to lock the date. The rest is due when the room is swept and you have looked it over.

05What your builder finds when the crew leaves
The rooms on the scope are empty to studs, subfloor or slab, whatever you asked for. Tile chips and nails are swept up, the path through the house is clear, and the debris is off the property, not stacked by the garage for the next bulk month. Your plumber and cabinet installer can measure the same day.
Weston is one of the five cities Dany works most. Interior demolition is the job he wants most, and he answers the phone himself, Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM.

How a interior demolition job runs in Weston

Step 1
Confirm scope and shut-offs
The crew walks each room with you, marks what stays, and checks that electric, water and gas are already off and capped.

Step 2
Cover paths and gut the room
Hallways and floors that stay get protected, then cabinets, fixtures, tile, flooring and drywall come out in order.

Step 3
Carry out and haul
Debris is bagged or carried straight to the truck, then hauled to disposal the same day.

Step 4
Sweep down to the subfloor
The room is swept clean so your builder can measure and start without clearing scraps first.
Weston: common questions
Something else on your mind? Call (754) 249-1015.
Can I put remodel debris out for Weston bulk pickup?
No. The City says bulk items do not include contractor-generated material. Tear-out debris needs to be hauled.
Who pulls the permit for a kitchen remodel in Weston?
The general contractor or the property owner, through the City's Building Code Services Department and its ePermits portal. Rapid Haul does not pull permits.
Does the City's solid waste contract affect who hauls my debris?
The City names Republic Services as its exclusive Solid Waste Contractor. Ask your GC what your permit requires, and Dany will tell you what applies before booking.
How much is interior demolition in Weston?
Room demo starts at $750. Tile, layers and access move the price. Jobs of $1,000 and over take a 50% deposit.
Will you take out a wall?
Only a partition wall your builder or engineer signs off on. Rapid Haul never removes anything that holds up the house.
