What the customer needed
This bathroom in Fort Lauderdale was outdated and ready for a remodel. Before anything new could go in, the old room had to come out: the tub surround, the tile, the vanity wall and its fixtures.
My post said it plainly. The bathroom went from outdated to completely demo'd and ready for a new look.
What we tore out
My photos show the room at each stage. Before, there was a tub surround and a vanity wall with its fixtures still in place. Partway through, the room is half old finish and half bare wall.
By the end the walls were opened to the block and studs. On the framed wall you can see the plumbing exposed. The shower ended up gutted to the block wall and studs, with nothing left for the remodel crew to fight with.
What a bathroom demo includes and what it doesn't
A bathroom gut with Rapid Haul covers the tear-out, bagging, loading, hauling and disposal, and a sweep at the end. It is non-structural. We take out finishes and fixtures, never anything that holds up the house.
The remodel is your contractor's project. They pull any permits and handle the plumbing and electrical. We get the room down to a clean start for them.
Bathrooms are heavy for their size. Tile, mortar bed, cement board and an old tub add up fast, and in a small room there is nowhere to stack it. We bag as we go and keep the path to the truck clear, so the rest of the house stays livable while we work.
Getting a price for your bathroom
Text me a few photos of the bathroom at (754) 249-1015. Room demo starts at $750, and you get one flat, all-in price, usually the same day. Jobs of $1,000 and over take a 50% deposit to hold the date. My post called it clean and fast with no mess left behind, and that is the standard on every bathroom.
